Wilkes Men's Cross Country Finishes Fourth of 28 Teams at MSMC Invitational
NEWBURGH, NY – The Wilkes University men's cross country team performed well Saturday at the Mount Saint Mary College Invitational. The Colonels placed fourth of 28 teams at the 8k meet.
The Colonels scored 166 points to finish top five on the day. U.S. Merchant Marine Academy was the team champion with 71 points. A total of 258 runners took to the course.
John Zick (Middletown, NY/John S. Burke) finished 22
nd overall with a time of 30:27 to come in as the top Wilkes finisher.
Noah Molina (Scranton, PA/West Scranton) was 24
th just one second behind Zick at 30:28.
Seth Boyce (Hamburg, PA/Hamburg) placed 44
th with a time of 31:31 and
Kevin Long (Goshen, NY/Goshen) was 49
th with a 31:48.
Kevin Singhel (Athens, PA/Athens Area) was the final Colonels runner to count toward the team score with a 32:01 in 54
th place.

The fourth place finish matched the fourth place the Colonels recorded at the Aggie Open last season when there were 13 total teams.
The Colonels return to the course next Saturday at the DeSales Invitational in Center Valley, Pa. at 10:30 a.m.
