Wilkes Women's Basketball Set for Delaware Valley Home-and-Home
WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University women's basketball team is set to face Delaware Valley University in a Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) home-and-home series on Thursday and Friday. The Aggies will play host in Doylestown, Pa. on Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. while the Colonels will host the second game at the Marts Center with tip scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Friday.

Wilkes enters with a 1-2 overall and 0-2 in the MAC Freedom record after defeating Misericorida 49-41 this past Friday at the Marts Center in a non-conference contest.

Maddie Kelley (Dallas, PA/Dallas) leads the Colonels and ranks fifth in the MAC Freedom with 12.7 points-per-game (ppg) and also leads the team and is ranked eighth in the conference with 6.0 rebounds-per-game (rpg). Kelley leads the conference with 2.0 three-pointers-made per-game and sophomore guard
Katelyn Kinczel (Highland Heights, OH/Mayfield) ranks second in the category with 1.7.
Senior forward
Gabby Smicherko (Edwardsville, PA/Wyoming Valley West) leads Wilkes with 2.3 assists-per-game (apg) which is tied for ninth in the league. First-year center
Erin Shober (Reading, PA/Wilson) has made an impact on the defensive end with 2.3 blocks-per-game (bpg) which ranks third in the conference. Sophomore guard
Brenna Babcock (Sweet Valley, PA/Northwest Area) is second on the team with 5.7 ppg and 4.3 rpg.
Wilkes is averaging 49.3 ppg on offense which ranks sixth among MAC Freedom teams. The Colonels also rank sixth allowing 62.7 ppg on defense.
Delaware Valley enters with a 0-4 overall record and at 0-2 in the conference. Last week the Aggies were swept in two non-conference games by Albright.
First-year guard Haley Keenan leads DelVal and ranks fourth in the MAC Freedom with 13.3 ppg. Junior forward Emily Kutskel ranks sixth in the league with 11.3 ppg and sophomore guard Shayne Glenn is tenth with 10.5 ppg. Senior guard Lauren Moretti leads the Aggies and is sixth in the conference with 6.5 rpg and also ranks third in the league with 3.5 apg. Kutskel leads the MAC Freedom with 17 total blocks and 4.3 bpg.
Delaware Valley ranks fourth in the conference with 54.0 ppg on offense and seventh allowing 67.8 ppg on defense.
