LEBANON, PA – The Wilkes University women's cross country team placed 13th of 16 teams at the 2022 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championships on Saturday afternoon at Union Canal Tunnel Park.

The Colonels scored 319 team points from its five scoring runners in the 6k race hosted by Lebanon Valley College that featured 135 runners.

Abby Kuppinger (Syracuse, NY/West Genesee) led the Wilkes contingent placing 70th overall with a time of career best 6k time of 26:02.8. Ali Elsesser (Schnecksville, PA/Parkland) followed in 77th with a 26:27.3. Emily Satnowski (Piscataway, NJ/Piscataway) was 81st with a 26:48.7. Courtney Negra (Colonia, NJ/Colonia) was 83rd with a 27:02.1. Regan Metz (Berwick, PA/Berwick) rounded out the Colonels who scored for the team as she was 90th with a 27:20.4.

Mia Hensil (East Berlin, PA/Bermudian Springs) finished 98th with a 28:12.0 and Ashley Tomassacci (Jackson, PA/Blue Ridge) was 113th with a 29:08.1.

The Colonels will close their 2022 season at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional hosted by Susquehanna University at the West Branch Cross Country Course in Lock Haven Pa. on Saturday, November 12 at 11:00 a.m.
