Wilkes Women's Cross Country Begins Season with a Sixth-Place Result
DALLAS, PA – The Wilkes University women's cross country team opened the 2022 season placing sixth of eight teams at the Misericordia Invitational on Thursday evening at Letterkenny Field.

The Colonels' five scoring runners finished with 160 points to place sixth with an average time of 18:42.20 in the 4k race.
First-year
Ali Elsesser (Schnecksville, PA/Parkland) placed 23rd of the 82 runners in the race with a time of 17:28.00 to lead the way for the Navy and Gold in her collegiate debut.
Regan Metz (Berwick, PA/Berwick) was 36th with a time of 18:18.80 and
Abby Kuppinger (Syracuse, NY/West Genesee) was 44th with a finishing time of 18:45.60.
Emily Satnowski (Piscataway, NJ/Piscataway) placed 51st (19.26.80) and
Sydney Cronmiller (Russell, PA/Eisenhower) was 53rd (19:32.00) to round out the scorers.
Courtney Negra (Colonia, NJ/Colonia) finished in 20:01.30 and
Ashley Tomassacci (Jackson, PA/Blue Ridge) finished with a time of 20:07.30 to round out the participants for the Colonels.
Misericordia University won the team event with 26 team points while Jessica Hoffmann of the University of Scranton placed first overall with a time of 15:11.60.
The Colonels will return to Letterkenny Field on Saturday, September 17 for the Cougar Classic.
