Wilkes Women's Cross Country Places Ninth at First Landmark Conference Championships
HUNTINGDON, PA – The Wilkes University women's cross country team placed ninth of 10 teams at the 2023 Landmark Conference Cross Country Championships hosted by Juniata College Friday afternoon at the Sunset Golf Course.

The Colonels scored 265 team points across its five scoring runners. There were 103 total runners on the hilly course.
Regan Metz (Berwick, PA/Berwick Area) led the Colonels with a time of 28:30.21 as she placed 66th overall.
Emily Satnowski (Piscataway, NJ/Piscataway) was 81st with a time of 29:43.01 and
Courtney Negra (Colonia, NJ/Colonia) was right behind in 82nd with a time of 29:51.69.
Abby Kuppinger (Syracuse, NY/West Genesee) was 84th as she finished with a time of 30:14.82.
Mia Hensil (East Berlin, PA/Bermudian Springs) was 91st with a time of 33:02.82.
The overall champion was Elizabethtown's Kelty Oaster as she finished with a time of 22:56.73. Catholic took the team title with its five scoring runners recording 41 points. Moravian was second with 66 and Scranton third with 75.
The Colonels close out their season on Saturday, November 11 at the NCAA Regional.
