WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University women's and men's basketball teams will conclude their regular season home matches as they host cross town rival King's College in Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) competition on Tuesday night inside the Marts Center. The men's game will begin at 6:00 p.m. as they look to recognize their seniors on Senior Day. The women's game will play at 8:00 p.m.

Men's Preview:
Wilkes comes into the contest with an 11-12 overall record and 6-8 in MAC Freedom play. Wilkes enters the game 6-5 at home, with their last home contest falling short to Arcadia University 78-75 on Saturday. The last matchup against King's was on January 7, as they had four Colonels score in double digits as Wilkes defeated the Monarch's 72-53 at Scandlon Gym.
 
Drake Marshall (Gainesville, VA/Patriot) leads the Colonels in scoring with 13.1 points-per-game (ppg), which puts him ninth in the MAC Freedom. Trent Fisher (Sellersville, PA/Pennridge) follows behind on the team as he places 12th in the conference with 12.4 ppg, with Cayden Merrifield (Scranton, PA/West Scranton) being third with 10.7 ppg. Lucas Lesko (Northampton, PA/Northampton) and Joey Zvorsky (New Cumberland, PA/Cedar Cliff) round out the Colonels scorers with 9.5 and 7.9 respectively.
 
Fisher is fourth in the conference with 7.4 rebounds-per-game (rpg) as he leads the Colonels in that category. Marshall follows with 5.6 rpg which is tied for 11th in the league. Merrifield is tied for second in the conference with 3.6 assists-per-game (apg) while Zvorsky is tied for 11th with 2.8 apg.

Merrifield is sixth in the conference with a 38.5% from beyond the arc with his 42 made three-pointers. Fisher is third in the conference with a .565 field goal percentage and fifth with 1.4 blocks-per-game (bpg). Zvorsky and Merrifield are both tied in the conference for 10th in the MAC Freedon with 1.3 spg, while Fisher is tied for 13th with 1.1 spg.
 
Wilkes is fourth in the MAC Freedom in scoring offense with 70.1 ppg while ranking second in scoring defense at 65.1 ppg, as they are tied for 44th overall out of 413 Division III teams currently.
 
King's enters with a 9-14 overall record this season with a 4-11 conference record. The Monarch's are 1-8 on the road this season, losing their last road matchup against Arcadia University 71-69. King's last matchup was a 87-65 victory over Stevens Institute of Technology.
 
Chris Patton is fifth in the MAC Freedom in scoring as he averages 14.5 ppg. Will Johnson is second on the team with 13.2 ppg, placing him eighth in the conference. Carmine Castiello and Eamonn Walsh round out the scoring with 8.5 ppg and 8.4 ppg respectively.
 
Garrett Burys leads the Monarch's while being tied for eighth in the MAC Freedom with 6.5 rpg. Johnson is tied for second in the conference as he averages 3.6 apg as he has 80 assists on the season. Burys is seventh in the MAC Freedom with 1.1 bpg while Johnson is tied for ninth in the conference with 1.3 spg.
 
Patton leads the team in field goal percentage, shooting 45.7% on the court while Johnson is shooting a .333 three-point percentage, as he is 34-for-102 on the year.
 
King's is third in the MAC Freedom in scoring with 71.0 ppg and eighth in scoring defense with 72.9 ppg.
 
The Colonels leads the series 14-9 dating back to the 10-11 season.

Women's Preview:
Wilkes comes into the game with a 7-16 record on the season, holding a 6-8 conference record in the MAC Freedom this season. Wilkes comes in with a 4-8 record at home, with the Colonels getting a 61-55 win over Arcadia this past Saturday. The Colonels last contest against King's was on January 7, where Wilkes fell to the Monarch's 64-43.
 
Yamirelis Matos (Springfield, MA/Chicopee) leads the Colonels in scoring with 9.3 ppg which is tied for 13th in the MAC Freedom. Brenna Babcock (Sweet Valley, PA/Northwest Area) is second on the team with 6.8 ppg and Brianna Horton (Verona, NJ/Verona) is third with 5.9 ppg.
 
Matos leads Wilkes with 4.3 rpg. Babcock is second with 4.0 rpg while Horton is third with 3.7. Julia Marino (Washington Township, NJ/Washington Township) second in the MAC Freedom with 3.1 apg, tying a career-high 10 assists in her last game that brings her total to 71 on the year.
 
Marino leads Wilkes with 50 steals, tied for sixth in the conference with 2.2 spg. Matos follows behind with 39 steals and is 13th in the MAC Freedom with 1.8 spg. Erin Shober (Reading, PA/Wilson) is tied for sixth in the league with 1.3 bpg with 29 total blocks this season.
