Wilkes Women's Cross Country Opens Season Sixth at Misericordia Invitational
DALLAS, PA – The Wilkes University women's cross country team opened the 2023 season by placing sixth of eight teams in a 4k race at the Misericordia Invitational Friday evening in Dallas, Pa.

The Colonels, under the direction of first-year head coach
Paul VanLuvender, scored 195 points from its five runners which placed them sixth overall in a race that featured 113 total runners from 15 different institutions. Eight schools had at least five runners to compete in the team event.
Emily Satnowski (Piscataway, NJ/Piscataway), a sophomore, led the Colonels contingent placing 36th overall with a time of 18:32.60. Junior

Mia Hensil (East Berlin, PA/Bermudian Springs) was 45 as she finished with a time of 22:39.70.
Host Misericordia University won the team event with a score of 27 points. Lebanon Valley College's Lauren Bunke placed first overall with a time of 15:12.30.
The Colonels will head back to Dallas, Pa. to compete at the Cougar Classic on Saturday, September 16.
