Wilkes Women's Cross Country Cougar Classic Results
DALLAS, PA – The Wilkes University women's cross country team competed at its first 6k of the season at the Cougar Classic hosted by Misericordia University on Saturday morning. The Colonels placed ninth of the nine teams.

The Colonels five scoring runners earned 218 points for the ninth place result. The 6k featured 89 total runners.
Emily Satnowski (Piscataway, NJ/Piscataway) led the Wilkes contingent to the finish line. The sophomore was 47th overall and 36th of the team-scoring runners with a time of 29:20.6. Junior
Regan Metz (Berwick, PA/Berwick Area) was 52nd overall with a time of 29:57.4. Junior
Courtney Negra (Colonia, NJ/Colonia) placed 57th overall. She finished with a time of 30:25.3.
Senior
Abby Kuppinger (Syracuse, NY/West Genesee) was 61st with a time of 30:50.3. Senior
Mia Hensil (East Berlin, PA/Bermudian Springs) rounded out the Colonels in the race by placing 84th with a time of 35:45.4.
Katie Anthony of Messiah University placed first overall with a time of 24:17.3. Messiah also took first place of the nine teams with 38 points from its five scorers.
The Colonels return to action on Friday, September 29 at the Dan Talbot Open hosted by Bryn Mawr College.
