Wilkes Men's Cross Country Aubrey Shenk Invitational Results

GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Wilkes men's cross country team competed at the Aubrey Shenk Invitational Saturday morning, hosted by Gettysburg College.

The 8k race featured 34 teams and 316 runners. The Colonels five scoring runners earned 720 points for 29th place.

Jack Thompson (Hatboro, PA/Hatboro-Horsham) led Wilkes with a time of 25:51.80, which earned him 27th place and a new season best time. Caleb Edwards (Grahamsville, NY/Tri-Valley Central) finished second for the Colonels with a time of 27:08.50 (82nd).

Brett Martinez (Hanover Township, PA/Hanover Area) (281st) and Daniel Elkin (West Wyoming, PA/Wyoming Area) (282nd) each reached a personal best with times of 33:06.10 and 33:07.80. Thomas Majkowski (White Haven, PA/Wyoming Seminary) (315th) rounded out the Colonel scorers with a time of 50:48.60, also a new personal best. 

The Colonels return to the track for their last meet of the season, the Landmark Conference Championships on November 1, hosted by Drew University at 11:00 a.m.
