WILKES-BARRE – Wilkes University Athletic Director Scott Musa has announced the hiring of Paul Hoda as the next head coach of the Wilkes Men's and Women's Cross Country teams.
 
Hoda currently serves as the head girls track coach at Wilkes-Barre Area School District, a position he took earlier this year. Prior to that, Hoda was the head cross country coach at Holy Redeemer High School from 2012-2018, while also acting as an assistant track and field coach from 2012-2016. He has also achieved his USA Track and Field Level I certification.
 
The White Haven, Pa. resident graduated from King's College in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and earned his Master of Science in Special Education from Bloomsburg University in 2008. He continues to work in the Wilkes-Barre Area School District as a Special Education Teacher, a position he has served in since 2009.
 
Hoda will begin his duties this week.
