Wilkes Men's Cross Country Finishes Eighth at the Landmark Conference Championships
MADISON, N.J. – The Wilkes men's cross country team finished in eighth place at the 2025 Landmark Conference Championships hosted by Drew University Saturday afternoon.
The Colonels finished with a team score of 216 on the day. Moravian brought home the gold with a team score of 30, Catholic took second place with a score of 79, and Elizabethtown rounded out the top three with a score of 90.
Jack Thompson (Hatboro, PA/Hatboro-Horsham) crossed the line first for Wilkes finishing with a time of 25:32.22, shattering his own previous school record which he set last season, earning All-Landmark Conference honors.
Caleb Edwards (Grahamsville, NY/Tri-Valley Central) finished second for the Colonels coming in at 26:19.31, while
Brett Martinez (Hanover Township, PA/Hanover Area) and
Daniel Elkin (West Wyoming, PA/Wyoming Area) took third and fourth place with times of 32:06.27 and 33:14.58 respectively. Rounding the five runners for Wilkes was
Thomas Majkowski (White Haven, PA/Wyoming Seminary) with a final time of 48:04.02. Thompson, Edwards, Martinez, and Majkowski all finished the race with new personal records.
