Wilkes Women's Basketball Selected Tenth in Landmark Preseason Poll
TOWSON, Md. – The Wilkes women's basketball team was selected tenth in the 2025-26 Landmark Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll as announced by the conference this afternoon.
The Colonels received 12 points heading into their third year in the conference.
Al Berger leads Wilkes in his third season as head coach for the program.
The defending conference champions University of Scranton was once again selected to finish first in conference, collecting 81 points and nine first-place votes. 2024-25 runner-up, Catholic University was predicted to finish second in conference with 73 points and one first-place vote while Susquehanna University was ranked third with 61 points.
Elizabethtown College was selected fourth with 59 points, and Drew University took fifth-place with 51 points. Moravian University (36 points), Juniata College (33 points), Goucher College (23 points), and Lycoming College (21 points) filled spots six through nine respectively. Wilkes closes the poll tenth with 12 points.
The Colonels' 2025-26 season opens on Saturday, November 8, as they host Penn State Berks with tip off at 3:00 p.m.
