Wilkes Men's Ice Hockey Ranked Fifteenth in Latest USCHO.com Poll
WILKES-BARRE – After receiving votes for the past five weeks, the Wilkes University men's ice hockey team broke into the USCHO.com Division III Poll in 15
th, as announced by the organization Monday afternoon.
Wilkes is on a five-game unbeaten streak with wins over Cortland State and Elmira College last week.
Christian Blomquist (Wauwatosa, WI/) leads the offense with a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC)-leading seven goals and a team-high eight assists.
Carter Jordan (Fort Collins, CO/) follows close behind with six goals. The team averages 3.9 goals per game, the second-most in the conference.
The Colonels also boast the fourth-best scoring defense in the nation, averaging 1.6 goals per game allowed, and the second-most blocked shots in the MAC with 133.
Duncan Rolleman (New Hamburg, ON/) sits second in the conference with a 1.37 goals-against average and a .953 save percentage.
Wilkes takes the ice next on Friday, December 5 as they travel to Owings Mills, MD to face off against Stevenson University at 7:00 p.m.
