WILKES-BARRE – After receiving votes for the past five weeks, the Wilkes University men's ice hockey team broke into the USCHO.com Division III Poll in 15^th, as announced by the organization Monday afternoon.

Wilkes is on a five-game unbeaten streak with wins over Cortland State and Elmira College last week.

Christian Blomquist (Wauwatosa, WI/) leads the offense with a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC)-leading seven goals and a team-high eight assists. Carter Jordan (Fort Collins, CO/) follows close behind with six goals. The team averages 3.9 goals per game, the second-most in the conference.

The Colonels also boast the fourth-best scoring defense in the nation, averaging 1.6 goals per game allowed, and the second-most blocked shots in the MAC with 133. Duncan Rolleman (New Hamburg, ON/) sits second in the conference with a 1.37 goals-against average and a .953 save percentage.

Wilkes takes the ice next on Friday, December 5 as they travel to Owings Mills, MD to face off against Stevenson University at 7:00 p.m.
