Carlson Earns MAC Offensive Player of the Week Honors
NEWTOWN, Pa. – Wilkes University men's ice hockey senior forward
Matt Carlson (Delmar, NY/) was named the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in the team's wins over SUNY Cortland and Elmira College, as announced by the conference this afternoon.
This is Carlson's first weekly award of the season and third of his career.
The Delmar, N.Y. native continues to power the Colonels' offense, opening the week with two assists in a 4-1 win over SUNY Cortland before adding a two-goal, one-assist effort in the 7-3 victory over the Soaring Eagles.
After last week's wins, the Wilkes University men's ice hockey team officially entered the USCHO.com Division III Poll at No. 15, as announced Monday afternoon.
The Colonels return to action on Friday, December 5th, to face off with MAC opponent Stevenson University with puck drop set for 7:00p.m. at the Reisterstown Sportsplex.
