WILKES-BARRE – Junior duo Nadia Evanosky (Dallas, PA/Dallas) and Yamirelis Matos (Springfield, MA/Chicopee) from the Wilkes University women's basketball team have been selected to the 2024-25 Academic All-District® Women's Basketball Team by the College Sports Communicators (CSC), as announced by the organization on Tuesday afternoon.

This marks the first time both student athletes have earned Academic All-District® honors.

To be chosen to the 2024-25 Academic All-District® Women's Basketball Team, a student-athlete had to have been at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale), and must have competed in 90 percent of the games or must have started at least 66 percent of the games for their team.
