WILKES-BARRE – For the first time in the 2025 campaign, the Wilkes University baseball team are receiving votes in the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Division III Coaches Poll, as announced by the organization Tuesday afternoon.

The Colonels are currently on a nine-game win streak, matching their win total from last season at 22-8 and sit in first place in the Landmark Conference at 15-3 under second-year head coach Mike Guy.

Senior third baseman Luke Spencer (Lehman, PA/Lake Lehman) has led the Colonel offense, ranking first in the conference in OPS (1.193), second in RBIs (38), and third in the conference in batting average (.384), slugging percentage (.646), and on-base percentage (.547).

Sophomore Nathan Loch (Effort, PA/Pleasant Valley) leads the conference in runs scored (42), stolen bases (21), and triples (5).

The Colonel pitching staff has also proved to be one of the top groups in the Landmark with a conference-best ERA of 4.55. First year AJ Levandoski (Scranton, PA/West Scranton) has shined with a 6-0 record in his maiden season, tied for the best record in the Landmark. His 45 strikeouts are good for the second-best mark in the conference, with an ERA of 3.27 putting him sixth among all Landmark pitchers.

Zachary Lloyd (Scranton, PA/West Scranton) and Hunter Lawall (West Wyoming, PA/Wyoming Area) have also had strong performances for the Colonels, with records of 5-2 and 4-0 respectively.

The Colonels return to action later today (Wednesday) as they host the University of Scranton at Bruggeworth Field. First pitch is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
