Wilkes Women's Lacrosse Selected Tenth in Landmark Preseason Coaches' Poll
TOWSON, Md. – The Wilkes women's lacrosse team was selected tenth in the Landmark preseason coaches' poll, as announced by the conference Tuesday afternoon.
The Colonels ended their 2025 campaign 0-15 overall and 0-9 in Landmark Conference play. Wilkes enters the 2026 season under new leadership of
Taylor Drumheller.
The defending champion University of Scranton was selected as the conference favorites, receiving 80 points and eight first-place votes. Catholic University, last year's runner-up, was selected in the same position with 73 votes and two first-place votes, while Susquehanna rounds out the top three with 61 points.
Moravian University claimed the fourth-place spot with 57 points while Juniata College secured fifth-place with 46 points. Elizabethtown followed closely behind with 44 points to occupy sixth.
Lycoming College and Drew University each received 30 points to tie for seventh, while Goucher and Wilkes closed out the poll with 17 points and 12 points respectively.
Wilkes kicks off its season on Saturday, February 21, where they face off with University of Pitt Bradford at 12:00 p.m. The Colonels begin conference action on Saturday, March 21 where they take on the Juniata Eagles at 1:00 p.m.
