Captured the 1982 MAC championship and earned berth into NCAA Division III championships…first women’s team to garner spot in NCAA field…coached by Nancy Roberts and Gay Meyers…finished with 15-7-1 record…leading the team was junior catcher Karen Johnson, who hit .485, with seven doubles, five triples, four homeruns, and 34 RBI…sophomore outfielder Karen Bove hit .385 with one double, two triples, two homeruns and 25 RBI…junior infielder Cathy Lee and freshman pitcher Sue Schwartz both hit over .300 for the year…Lee had .333 average with one double, two homeruns, and 29 RBI…Schwartz had .307 average with four doubles, one triple, four homeruns, and 18 RBI.
