Four year starter for football team in early 1960s…broke into starting unit as rookie, playing halfback and quarterback…as freshman, he led Wilkes in passing yardage and total offense, while tying for the team lead in scoring…as sophomore, played halfback and earned All-MAC honors…that season he led the Colonels in receptions, receiving yards, and punt return average…as junior, was team’s top pass catcher and scored five touchdowns…capped off career by leading Wilkes in receiving for the third straight year…had nearly 400 career rushing yards, over 200 passing yards, caught 26 passes for 423 yards, and scored 12 touchdowns.
