A four-year starting point guard for Wilkes having won two league championships and making two NCAA Elite 8 appearances in 1995 and 1996...Following graduation, he served as an assistant coach at Wilkes for two years helping guide the teams to two NCAA Tournament appearances and one Final Four...Finished his 14th season as head coach of Division III Virginia Wesleyan College in 2014 where he has guided the Marlins to a 314-100 overall record and a 181-59 regular-season mark in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference...Macedo’s teams have won five ODAC championships and reached the NCAA Tournament in 10 straight years...Guided Virginia Wesleyan to a 30-3 record in 2006 along with the programs first-ever NCAA Division III National Championship...In 2007, his team fell in the National Finals and completed the season with a 28-5 overall record...During the 2005-06 season, Macedo was named National Association of Basketball Coaches Division III National Coach of the Year; Molten/DIII News National Coach of the Year and D3hoops.com National Coach of the Year.
