Four-year letterwinner in both baseball and football...was named the Wilkes Baseball Player of the Year in 1959...excelled in football as an offensive tackle...was named team captain in both his junior and senior year...along with earning the POY in baseball in 1959, he was also named the Beacon Athlete of the Year, the Joseph Gallagher Award, and the Howard Davis Trophy…upon graduation, he remained at Wilkes as the head baseball coach for three years and an assistant football coach for two.
