Four year member of football team from 1968-1971…helped the Colonels to overall record of 25-8-1…official member of the “Golden Horde” at Wilkes, he picked off 13 career passes for 102 yards and one touchdown, good for ninth place all-time on the interception list…named team’s top defensive back in 1969, 1970, and 1971…in 1969, earned prestigious “Black Star” award, given to the player who accumulates the most significant plays during the season…in 1971, he earned berth on the Associated Press All-State team as safety…first Wilkes football player to sign professional contract after signing with the Buffalo Bills in 1972.
